Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre

The Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC) was established in 2014 to stimulate the growth of the industrial biotechnology (IB) sector in Scotland. 

IBioIC is recognised as a European centre of excellence. It connects world-leading industry with outstanding academic expertise and government to bring new IB processes and products to the global market through a range of collaborative innovation projects that foster academic-business partnerships and are co-funded by business. 

IBioIC facilitates collaborations, provides bioprocess scale-up capabilities, creates networks, and develops skills and training provisions. It has more than 260 industry members, more than 70% of which are small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) or micro companies.
