Essential Leadership Programme

What's the programme about?

Our Essential Leadership Programme will give you a detailed introduction to leadership development. You'll improve your understanding of management principles and unlock your potential as a leader.
 
It's ideal for new or potential leaders, or those whose businesses are at an early growth stage.

What's the structure?

The programme is delivered over three months. It's made up of four stages:

• Pre-programme onboarding:
  • A first-stage diagnostic session will be undertaken with each participant. The diagnostic results will be discussed and actions to take forward will be identified and agreed
• Learning phase:
  • These sessions will allow you to come together with like-minded individuals to come to learn, support, challenge, and inspire each other
• Post-programme support and implementation:
  • This is a half-day session dedicated to forward action planning. With your sponsor, you'll review what you've learned, track your progress, and create an action plan with next steps
• Coaching
  • Finally, you will have four hours of coaching to further develop your leadership skills

Programme cost

The total price for each participant is £700 plus VAT.

This programme is subsidised by Scottish Enterprise. The price includes all sessions, support, and coaching per person – there are no hidden costs. 

Dates

The next Essential Leadership Programme will run from 27 August 2025 to 19 November 2025. 

The sessions will be delivered both in-person in Glasgow and online. Details will be confirmed in due course.

• The four levels of leadership: Wednesday 27 August 2025
• Values based leadership: Wednesday 10 September 2025
• Workplace innovation and fair work: Wednesday 24 September 2025
• Innovative and inclusive business structures: Wednesday 22 October 2025
• Change leadership and resilience: Wednesday 5 November 2025
• Forward action planning: Wednesday 19 November 2025
