Benchmarking measures for Scottish pharma services: biosafety testing
Aims
The aim of this research was to update a 2017 analysis of the European biosafety testing market position of Scottish based organisations (Benchmarking measures for Scottish pharma services).
Methods
The methodology consisted of a review of key players in the provision of biosafety testing in Europe, analysis of financial data and assumption-based modelling to estimate market share.
Findings
The 2017 estimate that Scottish based organisations had a 53% market share for European biosafety testing was recalculated at 58% based on 2019/2020 financial data.
