The latest in a series that tracks the flow of equity investment – setting Scotland’s performance alongside the other nations and regions of the UK. This analysis allows Scotland’s market performance to be seen in a wider context. This evidence base informs Scottish Enterprise’s interventions to support ambitious early stage companies which in turn supports the continued growth of the Scottish equity investment market.

Findings
In 2021, Scotland attracted £690m in investment – over a third more than the £509m recorded in 2020. A total of 396 deals took place.
