Firstport

Firstport empowers Scottish social entrepreneurs to create positive change through comprehensive support. This includes tailored business advice, strategic grant funding, and investment opportunities to nurture impactful ventures across Scotland. 

Its services include business support, training, workshops, and expert advice to help start-ups grow. These include the Launchme investment readiness programme, and funding through Start-it grants (up to £5,000 for individuals looking to start a social enterprise) and Build It grants (up to £40,000 for early-stage social enterprises to fund salaries).  

Other financial support options include its Step Up programme, which provides flexible loans of up to £40,000 and the Catalyst Fund which offers loans of £50,000 or more to scale a business.
