The Open University in Scotland (OUiS)

The Open University in Scotland (OUiS) provides 200 qualifications in workforce development as well as CPD learning, plus a large suite of high-quality free learning on the Open Learn platform. 

It also facilitates the Open Societal Challenges Programme, a competition offering funding and research support to UK charities, and the Open Business Creator Fund, which offers grants from £1,000 to £10,000 to support Open University students and alumni in enterprise activity. 

OUiS's core research and knowledge exchange capabilities include a wide range of world-leading research, from cancer nursing to space science, with many of its research facilities, such as the OpenSTEM labs, available for use by public and private sector organisations.
