We’re offering around ten companies the chance to take part in our supply chain ready – offshore wind programme.
This is a fully funded series of facilitated workshops delivered by Scottish Enterprise experts and partners.
Over the course of eight sessions between January to April 2025, you'll learn more about the offshore wind sector, discover its supply chain opportunities, and build an action plan to access them.
This programme is a unique opportunity for you to:
Better understand the challenges and opportunities for your business in the offshore wind sector
Work and network with likeminded businesses
Identify your business development needs with the guidance of specialists
Discover tools and techniques to support your business journey
Access support from Scottish Enterprise and partners to aid your transition into the offshore wind supply chain
Learn how to become more resilient and opportunity-ready in ever changing times
This programme is designed for Scottish companies that don't currently operate in the offshore wind sector but are curious about the potential opportunities within it.
Attendees will ideally be members of the senior management team or key decision makers with the ability to inspire and implement change in your business.
We find it works best if two people from a company attend, so each fully funded spot offers a place for up to two participants. We ask that at least one participant from your company attends all the workshops.
To be considered, your company should have a minimum of ten employees and a turnover of at least £1 million, as well as the capacity to commit to and develop a roadmap for accessing offshore wind opportunities.
If you think you’d benefit from the programme but don’t quite meet the criteria above, get in touch with supplychainready@scotent.co.uk to speak to one of the team.
The introductory session will focus on the scale of the opportunity in offshore wind, as well as exploring the challenges of the sector.
The following six workshops will facilitate your businesses’ development across six core capabilities:
Leadership
Strategy
Innovation
Operation
Digital
Sustainability.
Ahead of this, we’ll ask you to complete a diagnostic that looks at your current strengths and areas for development within these categories. This will inform your learning through the workshops.
The final road mapping session will focus on supporting you to outline an action plan based on your diagnostic results and the understanding you’ve developed through the workshops. This will allow you to prioritise key actions and projects going forward.
Once the programme has concluded, we'll arrange site visits to your business. When we're there, our dedicated specialists will support you to develop these actions so your business can move towards its identified offshore wind opportunities.
The programme will consist of eight day-sessions across four months. This includes an introductory session, six workshop sessions and a final roadmap session. Further details about the dates and locations of these can be found below.
To make sure companies get the most out of the fully funded place, in-person attendance at all sessions is mandatory for at least one participant from each business.
Once the course has concluded, we'll continue to support your company to develop offshore wind supply chain projects.
